We are happy to announce that the Youth Leadership Council Summer Program is all set! Starting Wednesday, June 26th we will meet every Wednesday from 3 pm – 5 pm at the South Chicago Library.

This year’s summer program will include but is not limited to collaboration with Bessemer Park in terms of their annual Back 2 School Event alongside National Night Out, field trips, workshops/meetings with other youth groups and organizations and creation of the Peace Room at Bowen High School.

If you know of any young people in particular who live near or on the southeast side of Chicago, are between the ages of 12 – 17 and are interested in civic engagement please send them our way!
